Patient care attendant jobs: where to apply in Quebec
Santé Québec is the sole employer of the public network. Where to apply, region by region, and what job postings ask for.
In the public network, a single employer hires patient care attendants (PAB): Santé Québec. Applications are still filed region by region, on the recruitment site of each institution. Here is where to apply and what the official sources ask for.
Who hires in the public network
Santé Québec has been the sole employer of the staff of the health and social services network since December 1st, 2024, according to Québec.ca. The seniority of transferred staff is maintained. Working conditions remain those of the collective agreements in force until new conditions are negotiated.
Where to apply
The entry point is the page sante.quebec/carrieres/travailler-avec-nous. Under the heading « Voyez où des postes sont offerts partout au Québec » (see where positions are offered across Quebec), it sorts institutions by region. On October 10, 2026, the page lists 16 regions and 30 institutions.
The steps:
- Open the page and scroll down to your region
- Click the name of the institution, which leads to its recruitment site
- Search for « préposé aux bénéficiaires » in that institution's job postings
Santé Québec also runs a central job site, emplois.sante.quebec. It shows head office jobs and those of the public float team, which lends a hand first in remote regions. You search there by keyword and by region or city.
